Meet Michael Vincent Shaughnessy, a musical maestro who has been captivating audiences since his elementary school days! Growing up in the vibrant city of Manchester, New Hampshire, Michael found his creative spark and a community that nurtured his talents. After graduating from West High School in 1995, he took his musical journey to new heights at Oral Roberts University School of Music, where he immersed himself in classical and jazz vocal and piano, earning his degree in 1999. He even expanded his horizons with film scoring studies at UCLA Extension program!
With over 30 years of experience, Michael has worn many hats—editing, producing, and engineering projects across a variety of genres, all while leading worship in contemporary church settings. He’s had the privilege of coaching talented artists like Christopher Duffley and Sabrina Bryan from the Cheetah Girls, and has collaborated with music legends including drummer Vinny Colaiuta and producer Bobby Watson. Quite the impressive roster!
In 2012, Michael earned his master’s degree in music education from Boston University and has passionately applied that knowledge in public school classrooms and through the development of the Satellite School of the Arts. His inspiration? A deep faith in Christ and a love for his amazing wife and their nine wonderful children!
Recently, Michael took a well-deserved sabbatical, diving back into his passion for soccer, music writing, and health. This refreshing break also paved the way for the launch of Sing: A One-Year Weekly Quick Guide For Living Life With A Song—a celebration of life through music.
As an ordained minister, Michael has dedicated over 30 years to worship ministry, most recently serving as the worship director at Hope City Church in Manchester, NH, and now as the campus and youth worship pastor at Tomoka Christian Church in sunny Florida. Get ready to be inspired!
